How’s the yearly road work in Utah? Construction business? You should definitely research these things. What about gentrification? I ask about that because often cities are constantly tearing down dilapidated homes and contract those jobs out.

You might want to do a lot more research before you pull the trigger. All we know in Michigan is cars, construction and farms. It’s the heavy haul state basically so I kind of don’t have much other lanes to want to get into. Luckily I love construction and trucking lol

These guys are all giving you sound advise. Some research is a good place to start, but pay particular attention to what they’re saying about where to research. You want to talk to construction or road building contractors, not aggregate haulers. Contractors hire trucks all the time, and that work generally pays by the hour, with minimums and travel time. An aggregate hauler is going to want to pay you ton/mile even if they’re billing your truck out by the hour, and you don’t want that. One scenario has you possibly spending a good part of the day with your truck shut off, being paid the whole time. The other is going flat out daylight to dark with #### running off all 4 corners of the box to make a ham sandwich worth of nickels and dimes.

Do you own an excavator and a big pile of dirt? Or another business doing well you would like to throw some money away to cut uncle Sam’s bill? Other then that I would recommend a truck/trailer so you can atleast drop the bucket and hook up to something else.

or you can go dump trucking 101 and walk into the nearest scale house with 2 cases of beer and tell them you will work $5 an hour cheaper then anyone else if they make you #1 truck …
