    jamespmack already answered that here:
Conestoga or side kit for steel coils?
I think, in addition to that, however, pipe is usually referred to as black iron, too, so I wasn't sure what he was referring to, but left jamespmack's definition since the OP didn't correct it at the time.
In fact, the OP confirmed his definition a few messages later, here:

black iron and black steel also includes schedule 40 iron and steel pipe normally used for natural gas after the meter in buildings and fire suppression systems.

They use those between Hamilton and Nanticoke in Onterrible too. Adjustable coil bunks built right in them and the kits. Pretty much anything that isn’t coil well isn’t there. Never asked but I bet they’re pretty light.

Could be for mill rolls. GTI Rolls Transportation in Montreal has a bunch of low kits like that. That’s pretty much all they haul.

And they even have some with a reefer unit in the headboard for constant temp control to protect the mill roll coating

that i have seen. I usually see the humidity controllers on trailers with more than just two axles though, Which is what those step decks with the super low Conestoga’s were.

2 42k going as 80k apiece plus a LTL of anything fits in the middle also. Like a injection mold expedited.

But not many do that anymore.

    CAXPT Thanks this.

More work! 2 chains through the eye, 4 binders and 3 straps over the top. Done.

    CAXPT Thanks this.
