It's nice when it works out like that. I have a few loads like that they deliver just up the road from the yard

I’ve got a step-deck with a real shallow pin setting. Even with the wheel shoved as far ahead as I can and 39,000+ on the drives I’m still only 11,000 to 11,200 on the front. I think I’d need the wheel up under my pillow to max the steer. My truck is only 244” and yours appears to be out around 260” or so. I can’t see that making it any easier to get weight forward.

cke, Brettj3876 and CAXPT Thank this.

On a set back axle even with 46k in the box I'm just a hair over 10 on the steer. 5th wheel about 6in or so back of center. I very rarely have more than 20k in the box tho so it doesn't bug me

    cke and CAXPT Thank this.

1949 Diamond T 201 pickup. Lost in divorce settlement,,,thank you (indirectly) to trucking. She knew how much I loved that truck, and got the final "kick in the nads" by having the judge order me to sell it.

Uncle owned a 48 that had a R.R. Howell drilling rig on it. I should have bought it “big dummy”!!! Nice truck and he sold it for $300….

Yes that T pickup is a nice truck, I know they are like hens teeth too. Divorce brings out the true side of a person every time, been there.

Somewhere I have a pic of a Diamond T I helped a friend put together about 10 years ago, I’ll see if I can find it. It had a small block Chevy under the hood, far from stock….

That’s exactly how my last 3408 got away from me.

Depending on how long ago it was, if you have the VIN, you may be able to track it down and buy it back

Thanks, pal, I've made peace with that. I did sell it to a neighbor farmer, and unless he died, it's still on the farm. To give you an idea on value, I bought that truck from a junkyard in 1980 for $100 bucks AND, it had a rebuilt motor. I had it almost 20 years, and fixed it up, sold it for $4,000 in 2001, that truck today restored, one crossed the auction and sold for $93,000!
