Wow so today was the first time that prices are hitting me . Usually when everyone is belly aching and crying my lanes are still moving and grooving but this week is crap . Time to poach these local customers , glad my trucks paid off .
Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

Is it me or are the rates back up a bit. While the trucks getting fixed I checked today to see what’s what and I see a difference from a month ago and the rates look a bit better. By about 10%

I think it all depends on where you run. Reefer volume is great in the southeast and terrible in the midwest. Rates still decent and profitable.
I said it before, volumes are still good enough for carriers to picky and not take trash rates. Produce season is in full affect so I hope for the reefer side it has stabilized and the bottom is in.Beaver9, Rideandrepair and 77fib77 Thank this. -
Our rates have never fallen.Rideandrepair, 77fib77 and LoneRanger Thank this.

I'm happy that for some of you it's not as bad as others but nobody's safe from this.
We have the highest inflation that we have had in 40 years. I just passed a local fuel station the diesel fuel was $6.40 a gallon.
It's going to take one more quarter for us officially to be in a recession. In addition to that World War 3 May have begun.
The world economy the world in general our country everything right now is completely and totally unstable and if it's not affecting you now it will.
I can't tell you if the clouds are bringing a really bad storm or whether it's a tsunami or whether it's earthquakes and destruction or whether it's Armageddon.
Whatever it is, we have barely felt this. This is nothing compared to what is going to be. No one is safe and no one is exempt although some are in a better position than others.
Get ready it's coming.
On the bright side, there are no more Mean Tweets. Well that makes up for everything. -

I didn't say tourism would stop to my sandbar. I know better then that. These people show up as soon as a hurricane moves off and expect everything to be open and ready to go. Even a plague doesn't stop them! We had 2.5 an some change million people come here in 2020. Over 3 million in 2021. So yea, it won't stop.
It'll slow down, of that I'm sure. If not, I'll be happy to admit I was wrong.
Once things calm down, it'll go right back to 2020/21 figures.

I dunno if I'd call reefer volumes great in the southeast but otherwise agree with you. The bottom seems to be behind us. For the time being anyway. People always say reefer falls off after July 4th but for me it's always been super busy and good money from that point onwards to the holidays. I dunno why that is but I hope it holds true this year.Beaver9, Rideandrepair and Oxbow Thank this.

what they fail to mention is the market has been over valued by 50% or more across the board. its just coming back down to earth as expected.. #### doesnt always just go up and up and up all the time.Dadetrucking305, God prefers Diesels, Rideandrepair and 5 others Thank this.
