    From the Ohio Lawbook...
No person shall operate a commercial vehicle "while the person's ability or alertness is so impaired by fatigue, illness, or other causes that it is unsafe for the person to drive such vehicle."

I think some states use DWI, "driving while impaired", and others use DUI, "driving under the influence", so the legal situation may be less strict in a DUI state than a DWI state, but it's probably worth thinking twice before you roll out if you feel like you are impaired.

In January 2021, I curbed a tire off the rim of my trailer backing into a parking spot; got stuck in mud on the edge of the road because I misjudged a distance; and bent a barricade pole at a receiver while backing -- all within 8 days of each other (only the last one went down as an "incident" on my record). After the last one, I took a leave of absence, and found out that I had a bad sinus infection -- not all of them have the expected sinus symptoms, but they almost always cause fatigue and cognitive impairment. It wasn't safe for me to be out there, so I didn't go back until I was recovered.

I had a buddy who got the skitters from eating that salmonella invested goat food garbage they serve at Subway. He unfortunately got pulled in for an inspection at a coop, and told the officer he needed to run inside and use the facilities, and they almost cited him from driving ill. They didn't though, but still. It sucks when you have to drive like that.
