I wouldn’t do it. Many states actively look for carriers doing this without an intrastate authoritynikmirbre Thanks this.

You Intrastate AND MC?
-
Yes, I'm an actual motor carrier unlike many of the people in this place giving you bad information that are not (including yourself). I have an intrastate authority in the states I do intrastate moves in and I also have an interstate operating authority as well.Last edited: May 6, 2022

No states care for it . I ve been stopped by state troopers while doing intrastate for inspection. They donot care .

That's because it's not a criminal offense that law enforcement are allowed to work on. It's the state's tax departments that focus on it. PA and NJ definitely do. Jersey will even come after you to prove nexus if you're not structured as a sole prop. In PA, they have tax enforcement patrols that set up right in the scale houses to catch you. Do whatever you want but don't spread misinformation that could cost someone their authority.God prefers Diesels and nikmirbre Thank this.
