Yes I know but it doesn't take a genius to see that little annoyances like written word means nothing to some dot cops. It says on for every 10 ft but could easily be read as one every 10 ft.

No one should be criticized for having too much gear on something. Really it should be about what you feel good to go with. If that’s more than the legal requirement so what. Load security is something that regularly points out to me that just because something’s legal doesn’t mean it’s not stupid.

Not sure your point if agreeing or? But
I personally wasn’t saying do less
My point was it’s a 2 minute ordeal. Just throw the extra strapBean Jr., God prefers Diesels, CAXPT and 1 other person Thank this. -
Same mind. It’s a couple of minutes.Bean Jr., God prefers Diesels, CAXPT and 1 other person Thank this.

This why I carry a green book. The book leaves no doubt of any mis interpretations.. Although I admit Ive never ran into a dot guy that was that dumb and didn't understand basic securement rules.God prefers Diesels, CAXPT, cke and 1 other person Thank this.

I have.
And basic other things, like round stuff doesn’t cut straps.
But that was an exception and not the rule.God prefers Diesels, CAXPT, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this. -
I know what you mean...but it doesn't hurt for us to educate them either. Got a Level 2 in Queen City scale (wide road side area for inspections) with a TX trooper and we had a good ol discussion about WLL...like we do here.
Didn't understand why the value across the trailer was more than the value on the same side of the trailer. I left him with a better understanding and how we look at it.
Bean Jr., cke and God prefers Diesels Thank this.
