Oh no. Now you can’t even sell anything and get out of trucking. Freight is $1 a mile and now you can’t even sell anything for twice what it’s worth. How will anyone survive?

It's PPG's lowest grade automotive paint system, which is fine for a 5-year-old Volvo, not a 2-year-old Peterbilt.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

$4000 to take a frozen load from mid WA state down to Houston, somebody took it a few minutes after I turned it down. What a time to jump into the game! lol
Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this. -
I'm one of those who sort of jumped in 6 months ago, although my situation is unique.. it is TOUGH out here in Washington state right now. I'm seeing $1.20/mile loads being taken off some load boards right now. I tried planning a little home time so I could grab a load during the DOT blitz but that clearly isn't working in my favor. Having a lot of brokers just flat out give us their previous weeks #### rate and say their customer is maxed out. Even for loads that are outbound for later today. Been a week since my truck has sat, we shall see if we prosper hopefully by Thursday!Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this.

People are in a hurry to go bankrupt.Rideandrepair and Siinman Thank this.

I hear that. Thinking it may be wise to spend some more time out on the road than usual to ride this out, at least until WA produce season kicks in.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

I went up to the Northwest during winter time.
Check out the rates back then.
RubyEagle, Rideandrepair and OhNoTerry Thank this. -
My father was saying the same, $9000 plus to go down to GA around December. The same load I hauled a month ago down to Dallas, now going to Houston, was cut in HALF when it came to the rate. 43,500 pounds of frozen product mind you.Rideandrepair Thanks this.
