If it is a splatter box it probably won't matter anyway as there is very little chatter on ch19 anymore.

I'm seriously thinking about a 857d I have sitting at the house not being used. That will give me 2m, 10m, and 11m would probably get a better QSO on the ham bands anyway. I need to upgrade to General in a big way.

 

You need to get the General licence. Opens up a whole new world compared to the tech license. Plus you don't have to take a code test. Just a little studying and you'll pass.

 

Yeah I know I just can't get myself motivated enough. My friends here at the house keep pounding me to get up to General and on the HF bands.

 

Ah, okay. Well someday when you take the plunge, I'm sure you will be glad that you did. Then you'll probably will be wondering why you waited so long. Ha.

 

General is easy to get, hell a 9 year old sometime last year passed it. some 12 year old now holds an extra ticket, you can't get better than this.
