Ive seen this first hand. When i was in ND we had a huge area get dug up to put in a transfer stations pipes. It looked gods awful and then the oil leak happened and was a big thing. A few years later i got a chance to drive back past and there are homes, trees a few small farms a little fishing pond and a park where the whole area used to be. If i hadnt seen it before the fact id have thought i was in the wrong place.

Do engine blocks grow on trees ? Just because we don't see them being made does not mean they are good for the environment. I hauled some S60 engine blocks and they were made in Mexico. Then put on truck and shipped to Detroit Diesel in Detroit. How about the Platinum the new emission engines require and all the oil changes

These electric cars have less parts and will probably be less repairs and more reliable.

Lots of electricity is made via burning fossil fuels. What's the difference for the environment if vehicles are directly burning the fuels or the power plants? I'm sick of the better for the environment angle they keep trying to sell this nonsense with.

Do electric motors grow on trees? How about all that copper wire? All that plastic we use in everything requires oil, what are you going to do with the gas and diesel that will then be a waste product? Manufacturing steel requires coking coal, unless you like the substandard garbage steel made out of scrap iron. Platinum is not required for the new engines, it's not anywhere in the engine, if people get their head out of their rears trying to have the exhaust be cleaner than the air going in.

I’ve never owned an electric vehicle. I have no plans to ever own one.

I do have an electric scooter and it’s cool.

But it won’t cost a fortune to repair like an electric car.

This guy found out the hard way but at least he had some fun with it.

I owned an electric car for 4 years, 55,000 miles.

My “fuel” bill for those 4 years was $1100.
My maintenance bill was $276 for air filters each year.

Zero issues except panel gaps ( because they’re not built fairly well )
