Sounds about right. I was happy with 5.5, maybe 6, but not much more. How did the truck run? She go down the road okay?

Truck runs fine. A little slow to get up to speed, but it's a 300, so not a lot of power compared to what I've been driving, but the engine has been solid.

    300 Cummins, no Jake's

72 straight hours of DOT pulling trucks over to give them a thorough roadside inspection.

I'm confident it'll pass, just don't feel like dealing with it.

Yep, stwik got out of Michigan just in time, too. Apparently, the Michigan State Police is going to be participating this year, according to a news release. I guess they haven't been big on it prior from that reference in the news, but with the thought of revenue, I guess they're in. :)

HA! A "shiny 290",,that's a "castrated" motor, 1900 about it. I drove a IH Transtar years ago with a "shiny 290", 13, and it was slow going through the gears too, but tell you what, get 'er in the big hole, that truck would go 65 down and up no problem. The 300 was a good motor.
