Learn what the 1st amendment is. You are at work, in your employers truck not your truck. Years ago, worked for a company that had a policy all drivers must carry the previous month’s log book, for the whole month. Company owner said “I know the DOT regulations are for the previous 7 days, but my drivers will furnish the previous 30 days. You argue with a trooper about this, your fired”.

It did worked in the past. It'll work in the future too.
The officer agreed with me being concerned about his safety.
He put his blue lights on and I followed him to a nearby safer place. -
A lot of cops are good ppl. You should try to go out of your way to accommodate them. Out of the many interactions I've had, I've only been a d*ck to one of them. He was blatantly being a douchebag. I still complied with all his requests. Even if the cop is wrong, no need to be held up, fined or jailed. Here's a tip that can sometimes work... if you feel like the officer was rude or in the wrong, call his department and speak to his supervisor. In my personal vehicle I recieved a ticket that I should not have. I drove to the department and talked to the police chief. After explaining the situation, he disposed of the ticket and made the officer come apologize. Lol!
