Yep, Landstar is terrible, only made $8764.23 to the truck this week. And only saved $378.16 in fuel discounts off the pump price.

 

I’m not talking about any incentives to the giant oil companies. I’m talking about the infrastructure (#### I hate using that word lol) around the oil and gas industry. Starting up and shutting down the oil fields is no overnight task. Finding the workers, setting up the equipment that has been sitting parked for however long etc. Who in the current admin would actually want that when they don’t want fossil fuels? Who would want to do that when this current admin abhors the use of fossil fuels and would gladly shut them down in a hot minute?

I was simply answering a comment that this current admin would never offer that. I’m not one for governmental incentives on anything. Imagine if the gov offered $50k incentives to get into trucking (not loans, cold hard cash/check)? What a complete shatshow it would be moreso than it is now. Hell, maybe they offer these incentives and I’m just so dumb I spent my own money on it lol.

On another note, If I was chief of any of these large oil/gas companies I would be making money hand over fist due right now because the ways things are going who knows how long it will last.

 

I'm sure you know but maybe a lot of people don't, you can price haggle with dentist/doctors. Especially if you're paying cash, you would be a complete fool to pay the price they quote you.

 

There's some others making big money too. All while getting the sheople to think they are the good guys.
