I run flatbed and this is the only area I plan on staying in. Tons of volume out west, but I don't like the rates as much

Thank you. Are you doing well? If I run flatbed, there are a few local shippers here, but I'll probably end up in the Midwest for the most part.
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
2022 Volvo VNL760. As I said, can't speak to any CA problems driving an older truck around. The Swift fleet rarely has a truck older than 4 years. All the 2017's are gone and they are working on phasing out the 2018's in the fleet. I think it's one of the advantages of driving for Swift. Only time you'll find a truck with more than about 400,000 miles on it, it was used in a team operation.Another Canadian driver and gekko1323 Thank this.

Your 2009 is Commiefornia compliant until the end of 2022. I don’t see CARB enforcing anything since COVID. The scales here in Commiefornia DONT enforced if your not compliant. It’s a hit and miss thing if CARB sets up at any scale. I see NON-COMPLIANT trucks here all day long, there’re cheating the system but registering there trucks low miles which is an exemption. Not only that, I see non compliant trucks from Utah hauling roofing tile back up north. Like already mentioned, Commiefornia will start enforcing(yeah right) the new regulations next year(2023), what they are, who knows, I haven’t been following it up lately cuz I have a compliant truck. It burns my arse when I had to give up a excellent running truck for a Commiefornia compliant truck that sucks up more fuel then my older truck, and that I see all these non compliant getting away with it.

Why help the idiots in California ?
They keep gleefully electing democrats who outlaw trucks .
Every trucker should just refuse to go to that communist state .bzinger, goga, Another Canadian driver and 1 other person Thank this. -
Because the prior years were already banned from entry. The new law added those three years to the ban.gekko1323, Another Canadian driver and Bumper Thank this.

I don't live in California I believe it's the most beautiful state in the country but I love Arizona. One thing to keep in mind about California. It is the 5th largest economy in the world. It adds a lot to the US economy.joshuapowell61, gekko1323, Six9GS and 2 others Thank this.

That is a fallacy. Once you remove real estate transactions, they aren't even in the top 10 anymore.
Just having expensive houses shouldn't be rewarded by statistics, but it is.rollin coal, Chuck579, RefMata and 5 others Thank this. -
You won't be able to enter ports.
A drayage sticker will not be issued for the truck.
Otherwise you'll probably be fine.gekko1323 and ProfessionalNoticer Thank this. -
The fruits, eh. The cantaloupes, honey dew, clementine, oranges, the berries and the grapes.
The nuts, eh. The pistachios, walnuts, almonds, cashews and hazelnuts.
I probably missed half of them, but you get the idea.
All of those at your fingertip. At fruits and nuts stands roadside.
I must stop drooling. I made a mess on my shirt already.dunchues, Diesel Dave, gekko1323 and 1 other person Thank this.
