The old rotary phones my local is 879 Lol

 

Yep, big rectangular black phone hung on the wall in the hallway. Cord would reach to both ends of the hall. I can still hear aunt Winnie dialing that number just to hear another woman blabbing about bulls!!!t lol, ah blow it out your as s she would say lol. That was the earlier part of the 70’s….

 

Better yet, remember when the answering machines came out?? And the Ol man had a screaming fit setting it up?? Technology is a real biiitchh

 

Apple-butter along with sorghum is something I truly enjoy making. Sorghum especially…..

Yeah, party lines were the original "keyboard commando" environment...as long as they didn't know who was cussing them out, they were safe.
