New truck 1 year out . Peterbilt discontinuing 389.

There's ways around about any laws they can dream up, you'd hate to be caught doing it but not getting caught is half the fun.

 

Had to been an important day! It’s a big deal picking up new equipment. A lot of effort spent to get where you can pick up new trailers or trucks. Hope you get some good memories out of that truck.

 

Straights are fun for about the first week. Or if you are younger than 30.

 

True… I’m 56 and I’ve been muffler shopping lately… lolol

 

I'm 27 so getting close to 30, so I've got a few years lol. My uncles are in their 50s, they tell me about the same thing. Their cool for a little bit, but after being on the highway for a few hours I'll change my mind.

 

I reckon it’s one of those things you just gotta do at least once. Kinda like a fast truck, a 48 hour west coast turn around, and a visit to a ##### house. I don’t regret any of em, but I don’t want to do it again.

 

i was 28 when I built my truck and the very first thing I did when I got it back from the body shop was put the mufflers back on

 

So you can order a 389 in 2023 and get it in 2024 or you can only order one til the end of this year ?

 

Yup, so local Peterbilt dealership is fessing up. They are saying next year is it. 2023 , don’t know what they are going to put on the chassis for model year.

1st half of the year build slots are sold out. 2nd half has some openings. Was told to plan on dropping close to 300K
