I’m going to take my CDL training with CR England, going to be bussed to Salt Lake City the whole shabang.
I have no money I’ve taken my DOT physical and my CDL permit test is set for next week.
So I’m as green as they come.
I understand you have to crawl before you walk and learn with a company.
I’ve read a few reviews here and I’m on the fence about it now.
My main concern is the money, I have several obligations and need to have them payed, the recruiter told me in my first week after graduating school with a mentor I’ll make 708.00$ then when I go solo it will be 1,020.00.
Are these actual numbers or is the recruiter blowing smoke up my ### and telling me it’s raining?
Pardon my language.
Any and all insight will be greatly appreciated

You're smart to ask questions about pay.Another Canadian driver and Rockypjones Thank this. -
Which state and nearest city/town are you located?

I've never driven for CR England, but amongst drivers they appear to have a pretty crappy reputation to work for. Swift has a terminal and school in West Valley. I wasn't paid during the schooling and getting my CDL, once I had my CDL and went out with a mentor I earned money (forget how much I was getting and it's probably different now anyway). Some of us have had good luck with Swift and some haven't. But, my observation and opinion is it'd be a better option than CRE.

Isn't CR England the company that installs a 3rd bunk above the driver/passenger seats in the training trucks? Schneider pays $80/day during training. You'd get your first check at the end of the 2nd week.
