Never seen this before, loose lug nuts on steer tire? (pics)

I haven't, but I have looked at them. Could potentially come in handy to pull the tires off my trailer, since my air can't currently reach it. I used to be able to back it in next to my garage, but I can't now with my sweet sweet dual stacks. First world problems...Another Canadian driver, cke, Rideandrepair and 1 other person Thank this.

I have not but a friend of mine has one. Do not know if it is the same brand but it works.Another Canadian driver, Siinman and Rideandrepair Thank this.

I believe there is a maximum air pressure that an impact should be used at. Might want to check that 150 psi.Another Canadian driver, Siinman, God prefers Diesels and 1 other person Thank this.

There is. But they weren't budging at 90psi.Another Canadian driver, cke and Siinman Thank this.

That’s why the wrenches, bars and jack disappeared out of all the trucks when the Budds showed up. I hated the stud pilot wheels but they were lots better than beating tires apart at the side of the road. Was never a real fan of that, like calling the tire guy better.Another Canadian driver, cke and God prefers Diesels Thank this.

Just my 2 cents, not from experience, but looked to me like your wheel has been damaged slightly, perhaps due to dirt in hole when tightening lug nuts or from not tightening properly.
Just a guess. I think I would take a close looksee.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Cheap department store and Harbor Freight, impacts...... yes, 90 psi. Normal shop pressure is 150 - 175 psi. I ran my air tools in that pressure range for years. I did finally have to replace my IR impact that I had bought used in 1992, about 6 years ago. Replaced it with an NOS of the exact same thing.bigguns, Another Canadian driver, AModelCat and 1 other person Thank this.

I thank we were really talking about the torque on the lug nuts not how the air tools preforms. My compressor is set at 175 and comes on about 140. When the compressor comes on it is time to stop. When it cuts off go again. If I only have a couple lugs left I will wait a bit and finish the job. I know that is good because they are double check with a torque wrench occasionally.
Lots of variables. Size of lines? Length from compressor, etc.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.
