I know there's a few hazmat tank outfits, but no I wasn't aware of much milk hauling. I think I called Oakley a couple years ago and they didn't hire out of here so I never looked into it any further. I'd be interested, I've heard a lot of the guys that do it really like it.
Another Canadian driver and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this. -
Dalhart, Texas seems to be the milk Mecca. Indian River Transport has a terminal in Clovis, New Mexico and runs both OTR and local from that point.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Clovis is roughly 650 miles from here and Dalhart is even further. I'm down south of San Antonio. I didn't think there was much dairy down here, to my knowledge this area is primarily beef cattle.Another Canadian driver and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

Sorry. I got my Lubbocks and Laredos confused.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Haha you're good. This town is mostly known as the #1 freight crossing point on the Mexican border. Lots of auto parts and consumer goods. Quite a few dedicated lanes to Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, South Carolina, etc.Another Canadian driver and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

I went to JB for a dedicated job years ago. After I got to orientation, they said there was a problem and that they were going to have to put me otr for a while. Not. I got in my car and left without another word. I'm not the only one that I've heard of them doing this bait & switch either.
Another Canadian driver, haz-matguru, drvrtech77 and 2 others Thank this. -
You might want to look at Carter Express. They have a big terminal in Laredo. They haul Toyota parts that come across from Mexico. Nice trucks.

I'm familiar, they've been sending me emails and calling me for years. I did the auto parts thing for a while. I would do it again because the money is good, but I was hoping to find something a little different. Being in Michigan in January gets old.
I was trying to find something where I stay west of Texas. -
