I bought 8000 btu black n decker off Amazon. It’s a stand up. I ran the vent thru the floor. I seen the YT of couple guys running them off Honda. I only want the ac for the haul. Tired of fixing mine for half ### cold air. My problem is the inverter (3500 pure) keeps shutting off over low voltage. It will run half the morning solid. But once it actually starts getting hot. I replaced one battery. Used a toaster to check all 4. Found 1. I’ve left key on all night come back and crank just fine. Didn’t know the one was bad. Surely i don’t have another? Do i need a bigger alternator? Anyone have any insight on this.

Ecoflow has their new Wave 4000btu A/C and Delta Pro on sale. The new A/C is $400 off and the Pro is also $400+ off regular price.

The Delta Pro will run it for 12 hrs. The smaller, less expensive Delta Max will run the A/C 6 hours it says. You can charge the battery using Solar panels, an inverter when you drive (0-full battery in 2.7 hours) or a cigarette socket.

No gas, oil or fumes and they are both portable so you can use it camping or at home if power is out. Less chance of theft also being quiet and able to be kept inside the cab.

    No affiliation just FYI:
EcoFlow DELTA Pro | Power Independance | Portable Power Station | EcoFlow

Even with the 400W solar panel it is about $10k less than a new TK APU. You save what $60+ per 11 hour break over idling so any of these solutions in this whole thread pay for themselves in no time then start paying you!

I bought the black and decker 14000 BTU, I run the exhaust hose out the driver side window, and the unit sits in the sleeper, next to the closet. I’ve got a 63 inch flat top, yeah, it’s a little cramped. I’m running the Honda eu2200i generator and I’ll say this; it gets so #### cold in the sleeper, I have to use all the blankets I’ve got. I set the thermostat to 76 now, and it cycles on and off. The other night in Bakersfield it was 100 degrees at 8 at night, and the generator made it until 5 am before running out of gas. Yeah, it takes up space. Yeah, it is a little bit of a pain in the ask, but we’ll worth it.

So my roughed in, temporary ac mount has pretty much stayed the same since last year, lol.

In S Tx heat my 2k watt Predator generator runs for 10-12hrs with the ac unit keeping it as cool as I want in the sleeper. Ive checked and right where the air blows over me, it'll be 68 deg. I usually turn it up and let it cycle most of the night at around 75 deg.
