Did they repower the load you were under? If so and it’s just you guys and a bobtail at the shop I’d clean it out and go.

 

Just an FYI before you empty your truck. There are no one way car rentals. Be prepared to rent a Uhaul to get back to CA. I’m just saying that you need to have solid plans to travel without that truck before leaving it.

Other than that, I agree with the earlier poster, Western Express will burn your DAC regardless what you do. So do what’s right for you and your future. Freak WE.

Can't these scumbag companies be sued for indentured servitude for making you babysit their brokedown truck after you've put in notice?

 

They aren't making you. You can leave any time.

Have rental agencies stopped doing one way rentals. Have not rented a car in a few years.

 

Not without an abandonment on your DAC. They'll probably keep your last paycheck, too.
