I don't see a problem with that. The guy that hit my trailer was texting. He didn't even see the marker light right next to his mirror.

EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now if only they would expand on that and do the same for idiots yapping on a cell phone while eating a meal off a plate balanced on the steering wheel. No joke, I've actually seen that.

Canada Dry Thanks this. -
NY already has that covered. One of their few hits.

OMG, ya know the world is in trouble when the government has to regulate COMMON SENSE
Canada Dry, Double L, halfburn and 7 others Thank this. -
I can't even imagine texting while driving! I have hard time texting while walking down a busy street.

Yah can't regulate stupid. Oh darn, does this count as texting? HAHA!
-
When they outlaw texting, only outlaws will.....
truckerdave1970, future driver and Markk9 Thank this. -
Just a feel good rule, very, very hard to enforce. I drive into NYC about 2 to 3 times a week. NY has a strong to cell phone while driving law, but it is never enforced. I see the cops on the phone all the time driving down the road.
