That’s the way it felt. Imagine making a tight right U-turn jackknifing the trailer. You’re basically forcing the trailer aside
5 months in and already an accident

It's good not to get into the habit of making super tight turns with a spread axle. But I know dang well it's not always possible doing those tight residential deliveries.. If you ever feel you can't get your truck into a jobsite or fit down a road, don't be afraid to speak up to the foreman or whoever is running the show at the site.. I've been there many times.. Where I listened to the guy that says I can fit and went against my better judgement and got myself deep into a situation... and I've also learned from that and told them u unload me where I tell you or ur product isnt coming off my trailer... don't be afraid to do that..
It's tough what ur doing, some guys don't realize some of the places they send a flatbed are very difficult to navigate and all ur attention is occupied trying to make a tight corner and next thing u know the tailswing is hitting something... I've been there . It sucks. But live and learn and keep your head up.. Nothing will probably come of the incident at Melton, just do your best to be careful as possible in the future when navigating tight roads to jobsites.. They never get easier, only more challenging!nredfor88, Another Canadian driver, Turbodriven and 7 others Thank this. -
Hmm.... well from my experience , you have about 50/50 chance of not being let go. Don't sign anything saying guilt and write your statement and get all the pictures and names asap to melton

If he was taking a right turn the back of the trailer would be swinging left…Another Canadian driver, rockeee, Flatbed2222 and 1 other person Thank this.

Take pictures of the damage to YOUR vehicle. If there is none, then you didn’t hit him. It would be your trailer tail. But I’ve never heard of this.

Just to clarify the truck you hit was before the turn?

Megas scare you to death so you don't jump ship once you realize all of the lies they tell you right out of school. Maybe you aren't the next Walmart million miler but you aren't unemployable over incidents on your record. You aren't just limited to Western Express and CR England or 1099 Chicago outfits either. There are still plenty of good jobs out there for guys who make rookie mistakes. You didn't kill anybody. You aren't high or drunk. That's all that really matters.

If the tractor didn't hit it, not a chance the trailer did.Another Canadian driver, D.Tibbitt and Geekonthestreet Thank this. -
The only time I’ve ever come close to genuinely hurting someone was watching a guy try to scam a prime newbie with this ####. Recently I might add.
another fun one is the beat up trash Volvo twigs driver gets out to “spot” someone into a spot and they guide a guy directly into either their truck, or the other one.Another Canadian driver, Chinatown, Geekonthestreet and 1 other person Thank this.
