I got the word today that I am approved for Maverick! I will either start the 8th or the 15th.
I know I have posted in the past that I was planning on going to different companies.
I can honestly say that No Tarps swayed my decision.
I like the fact that I will get a work out at the beginning and end of the loads. I do not want to get overweight driving.
I also like the fact that they will try to get you home most weekends. I know it is not guaranteed. I will gladly take whatever I can get.
I am really excited about this opportunity and will do my best to get through the orientation and be an:smt038
asset to the company!
Thanks,
Jim -
Congrats Jim, good luck with everything! Keep us all posted on how things are going for you.
-
Thanks I will! I am very excited! -
Nice going Jim. Sure sounds like you landed with a nice outfit. I have not really looked into Maverick. Dallas keeps calling me!Good luck and God bless you in your new endeavor!
-
Thanks! It is good to see another youngster in trucking! -
Just noticed that you were in columbus. I am in Marengo, just 40 miles north!
Did you go to Roadmaster? -
I did go to Roadmaster, graduated Dec.24, 2009. You were in the class behind me. We spoke several times. I went back to Roadmaster last Monday to speak with the Stevens dude but he was a "no show"! Jim the "Failure is not an option" instructor is now running the class in Indianapolis. Hope all is going well for you. God Bless. -
I realized that after I sent the last message! Who is running the new class now?
Best of luck to you! You will do great!
Jim
God Bless You Too! -
Good luck Jim! You've certainly been persistent. Be safe and enjoy yourself!
