no texting while driving a cmv?

Who ever would go down the road texting in any motor vehicle is a FREAKEN homer simpson. It don't get no stupid than that.

 

Let go of that wheel, You aint texting fast enough! Text with both hands and drive with your Knee! Make sure that you look at your phone while you do it. Forget about that curve, You get it on the way back through.... Maybe.... What! you ran a 4 wheeler over? Oh well. They were texting also!

 

well you knew it was going to happen. they banned texting for 4-wheelers in illinois and some other states.
also the government just had to stop one more then for a trucker to do while driving.
next they will ban using the CB.
some companies have set up the qualcomm to not be used while the truck is in motion. also if there is an accident, the dot will check your phone records to see if you were texting or talking on a cell phone.
next will be the EOBRs getting mandated.

 

I know of a few Bears that do want CBs to be outlawed!

 

they outlawed talking on the phone or texting in Ontario. (you must use hands free device on the phone)

they have a three year phase in (or out I guess) for the CB, to give time to come up with a hands free.

Give it time, all States will eventually get there to.

Do some already not have some rules about talking on the phone without hands free?

 

I'm not one of those. I love the CB. Gives me all kinds of intel.

 

Nope not texting, just trying to read what the DM was sending over the qualcomm. Grin, all kidding aside, when I was driving, the wife was the secretary, she could pick it up and respond as necessary. Otherwise I turn the volume down and toss a balnket over it so I dont see any messages make the light flash.
