About half of my employers required a copy of the long form and the other half didn't.
-
The employer decides what they NEED. What harm does it do to give them the form?
-
Most carriers make you go to their approved clinic …. That should be illegal
RockinChair and tlalokay Thank this. -
The medical certification is required by federal law and is submitted by drivers to the state with which they hold a CDL. Why an employer would have any say in that process is beyond me. I'm aware that some carriers obligate employees with getting physical exams by doctors of their choosing. Nothing obligates a driver to work for those carriers.

Just got mine done for a fortune 500 company and while they gave me the long form all the company wanted a copy of was my medical examiners certificate.
-
If they are paying for it, I can see why they would want you tuo use their "approved" clinic, as they probably get a volume discount based upon terms of a contract.
If they aren't paying, they shouldn't be able to mandate where you go and accept an outside certificate.RockinChair Thanks this. -
As long as I don't have to go to Concentra I'll go wherever they send me. Especially sincr they're paying for it.tlalokay and prostartom Thank this.

Concentra is the worst. They treat everyone like they're parole officers dealing with ex-cons [I'm only guessing what that's like].RockinChair and Cat sdp Thank this.
