Picture clearly shows moped had the green light . A container hauler with such a distinctive paint scheme will be easy to spot.

Maybe I'm missing something but how does a moped [top speed 45 mph] hit a semi almost at the middle of the trailer and the semi is said to have "struck" the moped?
I'm not saying the semi isn't responsible for the collision but I doubt the truck driver knew that moped hit his trailer.Boondock, Chinatown, Aamcotrans and 1 other person Thank this. -
Moped didn’t expect semi to run red light is my guess

As a motorcycle rider myself, I know better than to count on traffic doing what it's supposed to do.
You have to be aware enough to at least dump the bike as you're about to hit something. There appears to be no reaction at all from the moped rider.
Unless that semi was doing 75mph... -

Well he can try explaining all that to the cops when they finally do catch up to him.
I wouldn't want to be him.

I just found out that the driver has done the right thing and turned himself in voluntarily, the truck is vividly easy to spot where it is currently parked.
Magoo1968 Thanks this. -
Absolutely. Not that it’s the bike riders fault but he should have be checking that intersection before going through it. 3 seconds faster and it would have been a much worse situation.tlalokay Thanks this.
