Hey, in 2005, I was looking for fuel & whipped through all 3 of those trucks stops right there....
My tires never stopped turning in either of them. Right in & right back out.

I’m based in Sunnyvale, so I get fuel in that area often, and I hate that Flying J (and never go to the TA). The Pilot at the next exit (Lancaster Road) is marginally better.

I stop there all the time. Last time the only problem was the store ice machine was broken. I was able to get some out of the fast food fountain that's just around the corner, so crisis averted.
When I show up, there's a cheerleader squad that comes out to the truck and pumps my fuel, cleans the glass, then follows me inside for a shoulder massage while I'm getting my fuel receipt. They always have my overnight spot swept out and ready. The guy at the gate hops out and blocks traffic so I can line up and park. Then when it's time to get up for that 0300 delivery at US Food, the fuel desk gives me a wake up call and asks if I need them to bring me out some coffee. I need the exercise, so I usually just go in and get it.
You guys must be doing something wrong.
I did try the J across the freeway once and hated the parking, which is the same as every other J and Peelot in the nation. Fun fact: a driver I know was held up and robbed at gunpoint there. I never had a problem, the parking just sucked.Keepforgettingmypassword, austinmike and RefMata Thank this. -
Years ago I stopped at that Pilot, next to the Cat scale, just long enough to update the Qualcomm & do some trip planning but the security guard started beating on my door hollering loudly for me to move my truck. He was being a real AH. Like dang dude, you see me sitting here in the seat with my atlas open on the steering wheel, it's not like I'm back in the sleeper with the curtains closed or anything. So yeah, F that place.88228822, Keepforgettingmypassword and tarmadilo Thank this.

I’ve never seen a security guard there, which is not to say they don’t have them. I have experienced broken pumps far too many times.

I usually don't mind texas besides the heat. And I finally made it out yesterday. I think maybe they was some bad juju in the air. I was in Texas Saturday to yesterday. Every where I went and almost every interaction I had went wrong. Five or ten mins before I hit Texarkana. I was cut off by some texting collage age group of kids. It was just a bad experience over all. Just one of them weeks I guess.
But I'm out now. Lets see what this week brings. Thanks every one for your repliez, I'm glad to see it wasn't just me.tarmadilo Thanks this. -
They were probably texting each other...Northern Nomad, RefMata, Keepforgettingmypassword and 1 other person Thank this.

What’s north Tejas like these days. Cali? NY? Philly?
We see and suffer down in these parts because it’s only 25% oe Texas. It’s now 125% cali. 75% NY with a good bit of Detroit mixed in. The cartels and Ms13 arn’t a concern for our health and safety anymore.RefMata Thanks this. -
I didn't run into anything like that. I did have a problem once in stain Louise with the Kings one night. And west Memphis with who know who. But there was a lot of em

I think every stop should have someone making you move as soon as you were fueled up. May seem a little pushy but too many drivers have no common courtesy and will do their 30 on the island with trucks lined up.
