Good in a jam. There’s 2 sizes. Get the right one. A splice/repair coupler onboard for emergencies is also good. Anything that avoids
a service call, if shut down at the scale house.D.Tibbitt, Keepforgettingmypassword and Big Road Skateboard Thank this. -
My guys tease me that I only have them on trains so they can pack all the spare parts I’ve got them lugging around. My parts supplier had a air line emergency repair kit he brought out here to show me. Good common sense selection of fittings and compression unions to attack any size airline on the truck. Synflex or rubber. I bought 7 so they gave me a bit of a break, I think they cost me $150 a truck. Wouldn’t have mattered if it were $200 a truck. The first time one of them tore an airline off a trailer in the bush more than paid for all of them. GDX Kit9 is what they are.D.Tibbitt, AModelCat, Keepforgettingmypassword and 2 others Thank this.

Too many recommendations to quote them all. But I'm gonna call frieghtliner and see if they have that kit. It's all I need.
Thank you every oneBig Road Skateboard Thanks this. -
If you own the truck you should learn how to repair air lines and figure out which spare parts to keep on board
I kept a spare set of gladhand lines and a bag of O rings .
Spare mirrors , (you break a mirror you’re stranded )
i even kept a spare brake chamber or two , (one of each type ) and a spare tire.
And a spare of every kind of light on the truck or trailer .
Even if you can’t change these items yourself , having a spare part greatly speeds up the repair , since you’re not waiting for the road service to find the part and charge you 10x what it cost them.Keepforgettingmypassword Thanks this. -
Thank you. I have been building a small back up supply of stuff. All suggestions greatly welcomed.

Ok got the air line on Very simple as you all said it would be. Thank you.
Now the air chamber is leaking air out of the 3 small holes. With this being disc brakes. If I can get in the shop Monday. I going to watch them replace it. So I know what all to do. I was told there is more to the disc brake chambers
Unless some one thinks they can talk walk me thru it. But I can't pick up the new one until Monday.God prefers Diesels Thanks this. -
You could cage the brake and replace the rubber diagram.
Should be able to do without removal of said chamber.
Simple and cheaper..D.Tibbitt and Keepforgettingmypassword Thank this. -
Gotta be real careful with that .Keepforgettingmypassword and Chieftains Thank this.
