What a coincidence. Our spotters make $20 with OT available at 1.5x. Our local dedicated drivers make $22.40/hr straight time, 40 hr scheduled weeks (can take extra shifts for coverage as long as they have the hours), 100% D/H.
Seems to be good enough to keep drivers for years on end, some have been running the same dedicated routes locally for 2 decades.
Quitting over the road for home nightly and the economy

i did a short "stint" at pepsi. i can assure you that not only will you be unloading trailers, but you will also be picking up and restacking all the 2 litre bottles that fall over, due to the warehouse NOT shrink wrapping the pallets properly.
1 week of that BS, and i had, had all i could take, and never showed up for work.......
beverage companies (here) are seasonally directed...spring, summer and fall, you go like gang busters...winter time, you get time off, try paying your bills then.Another Canadian driver, Western flyer and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
I could never work for a company that hates me...

Not doing routes for coke. I’d be hooking up to a trailer shuttling it to a pickup at night and another driver would take it where it needs to go. M-F mandatory weekends optional. It’s actually a difficult job to get here. They only hire once or twice a year at most.Another Canadian driver, Still undecided, dwells40 and 3 others Thank this.

Let me borrow a truck then lol. We can work out a percentage rate after truck expenses.
I don’t have many options in my area that would actually be a step up from what I’m doing now.Another Canadian driver, Rideandrepair and ProfessionalNoticer Thank this. -
