So when nothing gets done by your contracted parties , you take the lead and tell them whats going to happeb whether they like it or not, whether it breaches a contract or not, thats an argument for another day. You are in business for yourself, you dont wait on other people to not come to a solution that is putting yourself and the traveling public in danger... That is a company driver mentality to sit around and wait on other people.

There is no reason to sit on the side of the road for more than a couple hours. Especially if the truck runs. Drag that ####ing trailer to the nearest exit, doesnt matter if you have to drag those ####ing tires all the way down the road. A new set of tires is a hell of alot cheaper than seriously injuring people and possibly killing them.

Monday morning quarterbacking is easy. I think all of you are right. Not sure what caused his breakdown. My guess is the dude wanted to handle the problem internally in order to get payed fully for the load. What he should have done is call and email for two hours after breakdown saying he would have alert the authorities to the hazard on the roadway he was causing. If no response call the cops.It all would have been on record. Might lose the money on the load, and that could be hard if he has mouths to feed at home. Beats getting run into by a Jacksonville garbage truck driver who was probably more at fault than most would admit.

The OP probably wasn’t the actual Driver. Just wanted some entertainment.
