Trucking in Oregon gets expensive just paying the Ton Mile Tax Oregon charges.

Sheesh.....everyone is talking about this or that place is expensive. Everywhere and everything is expensive now. Unless you're in the rural South or Midwest, or Memphis, lol you'll be paying a pretty penny to live anywhere. It may get a little easier though. I did recently read where the housing market is starting to improve in some parts of the country, only modestly though.

PA is a a pretty decent area, i deadhead down every week from MA with a reefer, I keep a sort of eye on skateboards too and seems I would be doing about the same with them, unless I want to haul lumber. All my contacts are up here though so it’s hard to jump ship

I’ve never been to the pnw though so take that for what it’s worth

Just sold my house in upstate and should be relocated in GA in about a week or so. A lot of city folks moving upstate and I'm done with the high tax, left wing politics there along harsh winters.

@Dadetrucking305 Load chickens in NC. Deliver to upstate NY. Load a multi-stop load of cheese in Buffalo. Finish in NC. If you have any interest in that I can look into for you.
Give NC some thought. You get 4 seasons w/o a hot summer and a cold winter.

    Dadetrucking305 Thanks this.

Now this threads getting some action. I appreciate all the suggested places and passing the info along to my wife as it comes and also doing research on those places as well.A big thing for us is good schools for our kids so it makes it even harder to find an area to move to.

    bigguns and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
