You know,I try to take it in stride, because I know this isn't the norm here.
So we'll weather the storm,no need to be mad or upset,it'll all work out in the end always does.

Been home since last Saturday. Finally went and checked on my truck, and only did it when I went and picked up my sunglasses. Figured since I was there, I should start it and check it over.

Got out of Kroger DC at 0930, 2.5 hrs aint bad for a grocery DC, lol! Gave me the MO two stopper, guess they figured since I needed a 34 anyway they put that on me so at least I aint gotta wait til the planners get in Monday for a load.
JoeyJunk, MidWest_MacDaddy and dwells40 Thank this. -
I was out of commission for four days while my truck was in the shop.
First load assignment after getting back in the truck was to pick up in Jarratt and deliver in Groveport. That's a solid 10-hour day.
Next day, nothing. Sent in messages on qualcomm starting at 7:30am, which is when the load planners arrive at the office. Texted my new DM at 8:00am when she got into the office, asking for a load. Was told "We're working on it."
Finally got a call around 12:30pm offering me my choice of loads:
-Load from Groveport to Lakeland, FL, delivers Monday morning at 9:00am.
-Load from Groveport to Panama City, FL, delivers Monday morning at 5:00am.
-Load from New Castle to Pflugerville, TX, delivers Monday morning at 8:00am.
All three loads had lots of dead time on 'em, but the trip from Groveport to New Castle to Pflugerville had the most miles and the least dead time, so I picked that one.
Twenty minutes go by, they call me up and tell me that the Pflugerville assignment had already been promised to one of our team ops, so I needed to pick another one.
So now I'm on my way to Panama City.
After four days off, I drive for one day, then sit for 18 hours before getting my next load, which has enough dead time on it to take another 34.
Like you, I am attempting to remain philosophical. As my mom used to say, "The bad days are the rent you pay for the good days."JoeyJunk, MidWest_MacDaddy, Finfn1372 and 3 others Thank this. -
At least my day isn't as bad as this guy's:
Can't upload video to the forum, but here's a clip:

Was about 100 feet away from my truck. When it started, there was a chemical tanker between me and the fire, but fortunately he moved.
Dude was not in his truck. He'd parked it and gotten in a car with a friend or his wife or someone and drove off-site. Returned to his truck just as the firemen were packing up their gear and getting ready to leave.JoeyJunk, MidWest_MacDaddy, Rugerfan and 3 others Thank this. -

I gotta find some way to keep the washbay guys from leaving my battery disconnect where it's drawing current
I mean they know where the disconnect is because I leave it disconnected when I go home. How the #### are you not going to put it back where it is? And it's not like I leave my truck parked in the line for washing.
Come back from vacation, shop went home early because it's Saturday, and batterypack is no longer in the office.
Going on 3 hours now waiting for roadside. Roadside to the terminal for a jump, that is so stupid.
I guess I'm the new breed bonehead for not carrying cables. I asked a lot of long-time drivers around the yard if they carry cables, and they don't, so I feel slightly better.
But ####. This is so stupid.JoeyJunk, MidWest_MacDaddy, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this. -
This is the BS I put up with with this Lab of mine.
