Last two Michelin steers I got at the Petro in Joplin..24.5’s one was out of round and couldn’t be balanced.

Petro told me they would swap it out but I wouldn’t get refunded until a Michelin rep looked at it..

Those were my last two Michelin tires and last time doing business in Joplin.

Are they trying to sell you new ones?

While frowned upon, i won't seat a bead with the tire in a cage (new steers). Always laying down and well lubed.

I've also sold a ton of XLEZ's, and have never seen one out of round.

I have seen bad wheels and incorrect seating, and tire dealers trying to sell tires.

Why didn't the just break it down and reposotion, then spin? Just to verify

I agree, having 1 that's bad is a unicorn with Michelin, 2 same truck, not likely.
Dismount, clean the wheel WELL, spin the wheel up and check runout with a dial gauge, remount, with lots of lube.

    Edit,
How long have they been on the truck?
    How many miles on them?
Did they shake the wheel right off the bat or later?
I had one steer, BF st244, was mounted SLIGHTLY wrong, it started bouncing a while later, it barely looked off when spun, so everyone pointed at brakes and other stuff, one guy said tires. Looked closely and it was off buy a red one, and then wore badly, couldn't do anything with it, replaced and all was well.

I just installed them last week, did only 3k miles. I’ve replaced one tire first, because it had flat spots it was not legal. I had a loose ubolt on the rear that messed up my Aligment and everything, so I kinda blamed the ubolt on the rear axle passenger side for the flat spot on the driver steer tire.
Anyway I started to have some vibration, so after I replaced the driver side, I was expecting to have a smooth ride, but that didn’t happened, so after I delivered and came back home, I decided to stop again and change the other. The vibration was still there, but I never suspected the tires, because they were new.

The tires are still on the truck. I’m sure they’ll double, triple check before removal, but I didn’t see anything wrong with the sitting on the rim. I didn’t have vibration like, steering wheel moving left /right before I installed the new tires.
They had no problem balancing the wheels, one took 2 ounces, which was good, the second one read 11 ounces at first, and the guy decided to rotate it, because Michelin doesn’t have a dot, so you pretty much hope you get it right.
And he got 6 ounces after that, so he was happy, he didn’t like double digits. Single digits are ok, he said.
