CR England can't do anything to harm your record. CR England should be avoided by every newbie. Recruiters are used car salesmen trying to convince newbies that their company is the best company for anyone to work at. Don't work for ANY company until you have talked to current working drivers at the company you are considering. Ask them how much money do you usually make, how much time off do you get? How often are you home? Where do you drive? Is your truck fixed when you find a problem? How much do the health insurance and other benefits cost, plus anything else. Some recruiters don't lie all of the time. Some recruiters lies all of the time. But all recruiters lie sometimes. If you asked the CR England recruiter if the hot tub in your truck is big enough for you and your wife she would have said yes, even though there is no hot tub in the truck. The recruiters will tell you whatever they think will make you sign up and work for that company. When they aren't saying "yes" they are saying "I'll have to check with the company and find out." But they never bring an answer back for the next conversation.
If you were buying a car you should do all of your research BEFORE you ever talk to ANY car salesman. Recruiters are not sources of information. They are paid to get you to go to orientation, sometimes they are only paid if you stay at the company a certain amount of time. You should end every email or phone conversation with recruiters with "you've given me a lot to think about, I will let you know if I decide to work at ABC Trucking." EVERY company is hiring, They are not going to stop hiring before tomorrow morning, so hurry up and decide." Don't work for any company until all of your questions are answered by someone other than a recruiter.
in the job market of trucking industry, you cant deny a job offer once you accepted it?

If I was CR England I'd be embarrassed about that video. Apparently they're not. That says a lot right there.Another Canadian driver, Vic Firth, tscottme and 2 others Thank this.

CR England didn't send me do a drug test or physical. I did my interview with their westlaw account manager and got their dollar general account dedicated driver position. We scheduled a bus date for going to driving school, which is next Wednesday, and there was no paper signed. That's why I don't feel very bad about changed my mind. but the recruiter got mad about went through the process with me.
I never worry about drug test. I dont do drugs at all. Tried marijuana 3 times and didn't like it. I dont even smoke.
But thanks for letting me know that. Swift sent me to do a physical today. I was planning to walk away today if my blood pressure number was too high, because i didn't want my new medical card to be disqualified. but luckily, my bp was alright.Last edited: Jul 13, 2022
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I think you should decide about working for a company BEFORE you go take physicals or drug screen. The company, or companies, are trying to lock you into their company by hurrying up and getting you to do the medical exam and drug screen. Those things cost them money.Another Canadian driver and Kangshi Thank this.

yeah, i get what you are saying. it's a good point. but in the job market. I'm talking about the job market in general, you just go for all the possible offers and take the best one.
we spent a month moving around people in the warehouse just for the new hired team lead. and the team lead quit in few days for a better offer. it's just the norm of job market. thats why I post this question and ask if there is any difference with trucking job market.tscottme Thanks this. -
I’d call the CR recruiter every other day and have fun with it

I wouldn't worry about it at all. Sounds like you just got a recruiter who's about to get fired for not making his quota. I guarantee he's been in multiple meetings with his boss before he ever met you because of his stats. Recruiting is a sales position, and all sales positions have sales requirements. Those people get the most desparate right before they get the boot. If he wasn't desparate, he wouldn't have got angry.
Don't be surprised if you get a call from a new recruiter in the next few weeks who's been given all that guy's leadstscottme, Another Canadian driver, Kangshi and 1 other person Thank this.
