Yup, thing is with guys like OP he likely already has this plan in motion and was just looking for people to validate it. It’s a cycle anyone who’s been in the game long enough has seen it, the fascinating part is you have full blown idiots trying to get in when it’s on the downtrend and prices of equipment higher than ever before. Record number of bankruptcies coming soon.

 

That 30K is for first months fuel, Since they will be deadheading out of that South Swamp a lot

 

started with 150k almost 20 years ago with one driver (uncle) and no investors. Plus two tonkas.

 

If I had a dollar for every one of these types of threads here on TTR I'd be rich. In the time it took to write these long threads an amazing amount of information could have been found by using the Search feature. All your answers and TONS of answers to all your next questions are answered as well.

TLDR: Florida sucks for freight and the rates are garbage. Find yourself a customer that needs your services before you spend a dime. Partnerships are rarely a good idea and your working capital is way too low. Everything is extremely overpriced and fuel is outrageous. Your insurance is going to be around 36k/year too.
