Well I definitely sent it today to make up some miles, plus the hills from Pendleton OR to Fort Bridge WY. Gas mileage.. more like gas smileage. I’m scratching my head rn at my decision. Lol

Our very first new truck is a year old right now 95,000 miles. 565 hp 1850 tq. It's still too tight shifting, pathetic power and poor mileage. Should have got 2050 tq but didn't know that was an option. Wanted the 605 hp. but the extended warranty is way too much on that because they assume you are doing heavy haul. Guess we're spoiled with non emission engines that have power AND fuel economy!!
Only thing nice about it is it's pretty and the nice ride. 550 Cat makes this thing look a sick turtle. Live and learn Grandpa would sayAnother Canadian driver and OhNoTerry Thank this. -
Yeah I’m definitely learning and scratching my head as time is passing. I may just go to a different salesman for my next rig.. a few things I feel like I was left in the dark with to be honest. I ran into a guy who has a 2015 ISX deleted and tuned to 625 horse at the crank. Dude was saying he can get about 7.5+ mpg pretty consistently. I hear with 605 horse your weight also goes up to do a beefed up drive train?Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

A lot of people say a lot of things, and if some one is truly tracking their fuel mileage they should be able to tell you a lifetime average and a 30 day average. Not a range “I get 6.5 to 7.5” but a number “My last 30 days has been 7.28”.
My brother has a deleted X15 in his W900 and his mileage didn’t see much of an improvement versus when it had everything hooked up.Another Canadian driver, Siinman, krupa530 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I need to review and ensure my numbers, but Q2, ~26k total miles both on the truck and within the quarter, my truck averaged 5.85 MPG’s. Not too bad. Most loads were 40k plus.

Not to start a new thread, what do you guys thing about the miles driven before doing the first oil change on a new truck? My manual says 60k, but I think that's ######## aimed at front office bean counters. I'm leaning towards 20k or so.
OhNoTerry, GYPSY65 and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
I went 5k miles on my new one.
GYPSY65, seamutt and Another Canadian driver Thank this.
