Sorry to hear that you couldn't get on.
In the past six months, I guess that I have been through VA once.
It would be very difficult to get you home on a regular basis hence, the reason they don't hire drivers from there. Home time and driver satisfaction is very important to B&B.

Good luck in your future endeavors.

I'm just curious, In case I'm forced to put my "Driving" shoes back on again... are Bay & Bay dispatching by computer? Are you running paper logs or computer? What are there main shippers and lanes?

    Thanks,
    Duke

    1) Yes, we receive all load assignments by QUALCOMM.
    2) Paper logs.
    3) Shippers = Anderson Windows, King Solutions, Ashley Furniture, Sappi, John Deere, Cabela's, ........etc
    4) Lanes = MN to KS, MO, TX, NY, NY, MA, MS, NH, PA, IL, IN, OH, KY. NC, SC, ......etc.

No NYC\Long Island. No forced dispatch.

    Hope this has been helpful.

Well I am now at home for the next three days. Sun shining and five degrees below zero. For all of you history buffs I live in a small town with a colorfull history. Hint = the date of September 07, 1876.

01-27-10: Made it to the customer in Prairie Du Chien, WI. I really enjoy these types of customers. Drop your loaded trl and pickup another loaded trl and you are on your way!!! On my way to Mitchell, SD. Also, received my next ld assignment. From Mitchell, SD back to Prairie Du Chien, WI. MT=0 LD=378.

01-28-10: Made it to Mitchell with no problems. Roads are in very good condition. Dropped the loaded trl in the door and hooked up to the pre-loaded trl and on my way. In and out in 30". I really enjoy these types of loads. Much better than food warehouses or DC's!!! With an anytime delivery the next day. Stopped at Sioux Falls, SD, got something to eat, a nice hot shower, and went to the casino and won $45.00!!!! A good day!!!

01-29-10: On way back to Prairie Du Chien, WI. Received next ld assignment. From Oshkosh, WI to Charlotte, NC. MT=164 LD=864. Stopped at a rest stop and reviewed my log book and wrote out a pre-plan. Discovered I did not have enough hrs to make the delivery. Had to turn down the ld. Darn!!!! Good miles!!!
Made it to Prairie Du Chien, WI and dropped the loaded trl. No other loads available on this Friday afternoon. Talked to DM. I've been out for 19 days so I thought I would take some home time.(Normal time out is 7-14 days- so much freight!!!) Hooked to an MT trl and dead-headed up to our terminal in Rosemount, MN.
Arrived and was home at 2015 hrs.
Will take three days off and go back out Tues AM.

JANUARY was a good month. I was off seven days and drove 9729 paid miles with alot of extra accessorial pay(extra stops, layover, detention, etc.....) It doesn't get any better than this!!!

    Take care and be safe!!!

At Bay and Bay "WE DON'T FOLLOW THE STANDARS - WE SET THE STANDARDS!!!"

i worked with Bay & Bay vans loads out od AZ to midwest, never a problem, good drivers and the load planner was excellent. I think we did 50 plus loads in 6 months, only one load turned back, and only one load late due to flat tire. GOOOD company
