1) Longest run without technically stopping (truck continually in motion):
balto to nyc. i used a jar for, you know. i used cruise control and waited until there were no other traffic around; This was between exits 7 and 8 on the turnpike.
2) Longest running without break----i.e., 10hr break. But with fuel stops/bathroom breaks, that kind of thing etc. i know what you mean...
Champaign ill to balto. i stopped four times for fuel---it was a straight truck with small tanks. Still 26,001 cdl truck etc.
3) longest run without stopping except quick bathroom break:
balto to columbia sc; i had to do this because i knew i could make it before the reciever closed.
What is the Farthest you have run ???

That's pretty much my experience also. I ran 39 hours straight once and was heading south on US49 in MS and got the line fever real bad and no where to pull off then all of a sudden a rest area on the left side of the road popped up with an attendant inside that had fresh coffee. I couldn't believe it, out of no where when it was needed the most there he was. I also ran from Tulsa OK to Los Angeles non-stop but back then you'd have a hudred trucks running together all trying to make the coast before monday morning. So there was alot of talk to keep you up. But then I started hauling sensitive loads and everything got legal. Thank God.socal Thanks this. -
Ran a load for Karler out of Albuq-LA, dropped it, picked up a frozen load, dropped it in ABQ, picked up a bullwagon and went to San Angelo TX. They just had to be back for next mornings kill. Total 36 hrs RT to LA and 12 hrs RT to San Angelo. Slept 2 hrs somewhere and got in the packing plant at 5 AM and they said,"Where have you been?!!"
socal Thanks this. -
Watched Colo. DOT shut down a O/O today at the POE in Ft. Morgan for HOS. I didn't catch how many days out of whack he was, but I thought I heard the inspector tell him he was parked for 24 hrs.

I know not in a truck, but in 2004 my car audio shop took 5 cars to the USACi world finals & we drove straight though there & back. Our shop demo car was an 88 CRX lowered to the ground & about 1000 pounds of bass in it...I say bass, because for competition there was no mid/highs...so all the way from Sonora, CA to Kansas City non stop with no stereo!!! & that car beat the wholly living crap outta me! the other cars got trailered...we just ran out of trailers. If you are wondering I took 7th in my class (modified 901-1800watt class), not to bad.

I went from s. GA to Albany NY, picked up a car, and went back to s. GA in 3 days. It was about a 2500 mile round trip. It was in my personal vehicle BTW..

Friday # 9:00 am San Antonio TX to Saturday # 8:45 am Milwaukee WI. I don't recall the mileage, It was a long time ago.
Friday # 10:00 am Tampa FL to Kewaskum WI about 8:00 am Saturday. 1300 miles? Again, it was a long time ago. Actually, I was intending to shut down in Remington IN, then one of my friends saw me pull in, knocked on my sleeper, and said "Come on!! Lets beat the Saturday morning traffic and have breakfast at Ryan Rd!!!" Awwwe S###... Ok... I need more coffee!!!
I've run from Billings to Milwaukee non stop service a couple times. Milwaukee to the Carolinas overnight a few times, And also did Milwaukee to Gillette WY to Casper WY to Milwaukee twice in 5 1/2 days.
Milwaukee to Denver a few times overnight. Too old for all that now!! -
Back in 1992 while driving for JB Hunt I turned a load from San Antonio Tx to Atlanta Ga (1000 miles) in about 19 hours. I arrived the day before Thanksgiving and was allowed to drop the load on the yard.
After talking to night dispatch in Atlanta they found a load going up to Maine and asked me if I wanted it. I jumped at the chance (seeing I lived in Maine at the time) and took off before they changed their mind!
I made it another 120 miles up the road into South Carolina before I had to lay down for a few hours. 4 hours later I was up and running again. I was able to turn the next 1200 miles in about 26 hours. Stopping for fuel, food, rest rooms, and a shower on the way to stay awake. I made it back home in time to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with my family.
I have NEVER used any type of drugs to stay awake either. Soda (caffeine), music, cb radio, and books on tape kept my mind alert enough to drive.
The hardest part was being stuck in a 62 mph cabover! -
To me, "non-stop" always meant the wheels never stopped turning. If you came to a complete stop anywhere, for any reason, that was the end of it.
The best I could do: 525 miles in just about eight hours. Legal
. Wheels never stopped turning. Only stopped because of a traffic jam. Flat, beautiful day, empty. 15 out of SLC to some place in CA, would have to go get my notes.
That was fun.
