Considering an 02' 379 Long Hood 63" Flat top

Well that's good ,& bad .. I got a truck in my shop right now that's sitting on 24" tall rubber I just had this conversation a couple weeks ago with a good friend and very reliable source of info .. he was telling me better plan on the 24" rubber becoming almost extinct in the next year.. sure enough I checked with my 2 tire shops they both choked out the same thing .. those tires are getting hard to find and they are expensive as it is right now so if it were me I would plan on hunting down some 22:5 rims since you need rubber .. nows the time to make the switch so there's 10 rims at say 300 each

 

Looks nice! Would want to flip some panels back and look inside.

 

Since he stated the mileage in kilometers, I'm guessing he's up in Canada. If he's out west it might not be a huge issue. 24.5 rubber is probably just as common as 22.5 out here since all the oilfield, heavy haul and logging rigs use 24.5 rubber.

 

Looks a lot cleaner than I pictured. If the frame is clean and not spread from rust, axle housings aren't rotted away or flaking badly and its a 6NZ Cat, I'd say around $25k Cad.

 

Well what's the odds of you rolling a dozen across the border in some grassy field ? Cause I really really don't wanta have to switch my truck over

I don't blame ya. 24.5 looks so much nicer on a truck.

 

Running a good bit of 24.5's here. Have had to run Firestone steers instead of desired Bridgestones. All position tires on the steer because that was all I could find. Have ran into the same problem with a lot of different sized tires, Cummins parts, Detroit inframe kits and such. Even the aftermarket is having shortages.
Plan ahead and take care of yourself as best you can.
