Climate Express

Good Tuesday morning my brothers. I'm sitting in Columbus, OH off loading. I tell ya, I picked up the new hire out of Dothan, AL Sunday. From there it's like 730 miles or so. I may have 1 hour of dialogue the whole way up. He slept a lot and watched tick took videos lol. I got fuel in Birmingham and took the 200 off the card Robert put on there. I gave him the cash to get the room because 200 ain't getting 2 individual rooms these days. I slept in the truck. He comes back yesterday morning saying the motel didn't charge him...... hmmmm. We get to the yard and Robin is looking for a receipt. Why this dude tell them I have the receipt? Admittedly, I didn't tell him to get a receipt. Fibbing the first day on the job? Hmm...... Robin says she will call the Days Inn in Perryville, MO and get an emailed receipt from them. I told her she isn't getting a receipt because the gentleman working the counter photocopied the newbies ID and gave him a room key. Hmmmm. All that is what was told to me by our new hire. It was the most bizarre thing. Robin knows he has 200 cash on him. I thought that was such a weird thing bull- #### the company on right out the gate

 

I actually thought they were going to do that! I don't see him lasting long though.

 

You went right by me I believe. I slept at the J in Pontoon Beach. The showers are back up over here. I'm delivering in Granite City today, load of scrap metal. Travis called me yesterday and informed me that I selected as driver of the month....for February?! Lol nonetheless, it gets an extra 100 bucks on my check Friday. If I had my way, I'd group all of us together and celebrate by having dinner with ya on my dime. It feels like an accomplishment, albeit a small one, I'd want to share with y'all. #ClimateMiles
