Since this thread came up. I'll say this. Was testing a ops one on a particular engine. Samples looked great followed it to a T. Ran this 200k on a older milage engine that I primarily took care of. It was latter in its life, so great time to test.

Well removed oil pan for replacement because of rust. Had some of the worst sludge I ever seen. Top of engine is spotless. Just seems like used oil sludge collected at the bottom.

Ops is removed and in a box. Anyone need one? I'll sell at used price.

2016 Pete ISX15 450hp. Purchased with 335k now have 855k. DEF and DPF fell off in Montana one winter night. Change oil every 40k wether it needs it or not. Original clutch, front bumper, windshield and drive train.

It's shocking to wake up one morning and find parts on the ground. I had an EGR+cooler do the same thing on a Detroit engine.

CM2250 were the ones with ceramic in the pump. They’re poison unless they got the pump update before they were put in service. Updating the pump on an engine with miles on it is a waste of time, the blocks are already full of ceramic material and they blow up anyway. My lease-ops had a couple here. An ‘11 and a ‘12. Both those trucks have CM870’s in them now with the bs tuned out of them and they’re actually pretty good running engines.
