Big Thanks for help everyone, I'll be checking my Rand McNally paper atlas, to trace the routes you've suggested. I love how I can reach out to you guys when I'm uncertain.

I am your heavy weight when I am empty…. Mostly

but having said that - the route I listed is a very comfortable easy running route. A few hills out on US90 (start full of fuel not much in the way of services till Fort Stockton.

us60 is mostly 4 lane except for about a 50 miles stretch around Wickenburg

they have taken the lights out on 93 with the bypass just before Vegas

all in all a good quiet trip.

    ps also the shortest way.

Wasted Thyme, austinmike and UturnGirl Thank this.

    35N - US83N - US277N - US90W - I10W - AZ303N - US60W -US93N - US95N

Do it all the time. All good road. US90 is kinda BFE, but good road. All desert. Make sure you have water in case of problemo!!!!

Not to wade too deeply into the minutiae, but if you hit Phoenix during a busy time of day, then coming in on I10W, take 202W (just past Queen Creek Rd.) and circle back to I10W. This relatively new beltway is basically the same distance and circumvents the whole downtown area.

...And I should've added, this is if you take Dave_in_AZ's route. If you're going the I17 route then stay on I10 to I17...

    tscottme and UturnGirl Thank this.

Final debate with myself... cut up 285 to get to 10 quickly, or stay on 90 through bfe, which is a pleasant ride, except I'm a little worried about border activity these days.
