If you get the chance stop by and visit the terminal in Rancho Cucamonga. You will usually be able to find drivers in the drivers room and may get a chance to discuss your goals withe recruiter "Valerie". Weekends are best for the drivers, weekdays for the recruiter. Good Luck

I am tried hahah my longest day yet 595 miles one day in fog and ice we were in iowa and kansas......so for 7 day around 2400 miles with a restart not bad I guess
school was so wrong on parking as far as 90 deg.. here is a tip if you have the room use it.................. they can laugh at me all they want but I put it in the slot at petro in one shot at night in the fog lol and to the swift driver that thought the fuel island is for parking out of the rain Have some respect and move the darn thing so someone can use it
I'm putting a list together of stuff you might need when you get your first truck
Now thank god for my trainer he is so so so relax, I on the other hand am not I get mad at myself and after 12 hours I get cranky... I need to relax guess but I want it all to work right the first time
ok now back to Wis. then to Iowa
see all later -
another 523 miles and I am now in Indy with 46000 pounds of dog food hahah The ice storm was so bad my trainer ended up driving and we watch a few car spin and crash and one big rig do a 180 and did not flip he was going about 40 mph wow got to not much time will update with more stuff later
be safe -
Hi 1 week of driving done 70 hours and I think I understand the log book pretty good I dro at a dockve 2878 miles and my trainer did a few as well the ice storm in Iowa the other day was ruff and my trainer ask if I was ok driving it and I had to say no, so he gladly took over and boy was I glad it got bad we were driving along about 35 on rt. 80 and watch a big rig go by us and do a 180.. and did not flip it just a perfect 180.. learned alot about it.. go slow do not over steer slow moves with the wheel and do not just let off the gas and hit the brakes hard. go slow and smooth..and if you are the least bit worried get off the rode and park it, your life is not worth it. Gordon seem to prefer you stop, so that cool safe than sorry !!!
now all of a sudden I am having a hard time parking at night at a dock never had that problem before..
and I have started missing 8th geer..
lol if is not one thing it is another poor trainer
after this monday we are going west to climb some hills

I can't wait to try pushing it that hard to see if my body can do it !!!! I have been sleeping like a rock so that is good and eating fine..
Here's a tip stop with the coffee and energy drinks a few hours before you done it should help ya sleep..
I'm starting to get the hang of shifting with no clutch still the down shift is giving me fits (and the trucks behind me SORRY GUY'S )
I tell you what I have made the right choice.. In Companys and career..
I like the daily challenage (maping docking time all of it )..

I now have 8700 mile in 3 weeks of driving and I'm on the west coast Washington and headed south towards Calif. then back towards home (trainers) Ten. so that will be another 2600 then to Green Bay to Finish.
The mountian driving was kinda ruff, down shifting still gives mee fits, I have a hard time timing the rev., with the gear and the speed of the shift, going up in gears no problem.
