I'd go Cascadia. Because of the motor.... It's what makes you money.

    Interior wise....KW all the way.

DD15 has been a more reliable platform than the ISX historically. It also is setup to downspeed in the Tq curve better than most of the ISX programming.

Looks is in the eye of the beholder. I personally don't like the looks of most any of the Aero trucks but they are a business tool to make money.(including my 780)

I did see a cool looking VanWert T680 with stacks and longer wheelbase in Maryland recently, very unique.

Since the 2014s, the Cascadias I've been driving have Isri seating, must be standard. Lots easier on me, and stands up better.

I switched the bases and the seat cushion in the 2013 I drove from new, the seat was sourced from National and wasn't as good in any measure even though looking very similar.

I've put about half a million miles on them, 460 k of it in a 216 inch wheelbase 2013 50 inch sleeper. I'm home often, do it wasn't that big a deal.

Brand is academic, we get what they lease.
Resale on the plastic trucks other than International isn't a big difference, I used to pick up the sale papers, too. I'm thinking International may get better when they get past the Maxxforce .

Another thing, the VGT on the rest isn't used on the DD engine lineup, the Evolution uses an assymmetrical setup which is more responsive than the old school turbo used on the earlier DD engines.

@planafreighters, I have been an owner operator for 7 months now and if I could start all over again I would buy a new truck. That’s my personal feeling and that is the feeling of other owner operators I know. I am not saying used trucks aren’t good it’s just that you don’t know the condition and history of the truck. I purchased a 2014 KW t680 (paccar engine) with 369k miles back in September and it has been in and out of the shop. I have already spent a little over 20k in repairs and maintenance. Whoever owned the truck before did not keep up with the maintenance reports indicated and so, I am reaping the ramification of it. Here is the reason why I said I would buy a new truck. We know nothing in this world is a 100% and a new truck can breakdown on you just as well. I have seen it and heard of it. A new truck comes with a year or more of bumper-to-bumper warranty along with the manufacturer warranty. If anything should go wrong or if you should run into a breakdown you don’t have to worry about paying for anything out of pocket as long as you have the bumper-to-bumper warranty. Plus, having a new truck gives you that peace of mind and the likelihood of a breakdown is relatively slim. Every truck is good as long as the truck was maintained the way it should. I know some might say get a Freightliner, others might say no get a Volvo. It really doesn’t matter what type of truck you get it is the maintenance history of the truck. I hope that helps. Good luck.

    Singhfreightliner07 Thanks this.

The t680 inside is a bit smaller than the cascadia . Both are nice trucks.I’m not sure if you can get the Detroit in the t680 though

Just got a t680 it it’s very nice it’s an automatic temporary truck until my truck is fixed. E19549C0-E134-4019-B5FF-385C226669B0.jpeg E19549C0-E134-4019-B5FF-385C226669B0.jpeg
