Well we had another incident. Upon arriving at the Phoenix, drop yard. You have to have a code to get into this drop yard. Only Martin and Central trucks and trls that we saw. We were dropping our load, when a man asked us for the combination to the gate. My husband was an x canine cop in the military. He told him we do not give out the combination or codes to anyone, and that since he was already in, he should have it. He wanted to let a pick up driver in. The pick up driver ask my husband for the code and combination telling him he was a Martin driver. My husband told him he should have the code then, or know who to call to get it. He tells the other guy inside to bring his tractor trailer up to gate, he saw an eye which should cause gate to open from the inside. He does , and I preceded to get pictures of tractor trailer. It has two business names on its side, and does not have the up to date ifta. The small pickup goes over to this old tractor trailer they talk awhile, then he leaves. The tractor trailer driver stays about an hour and then leaves. We were not leaving until we heard from dispatch as to what to do. We felt they would be back to possibly steal a trailer. Sent the pictures to security and they said they were great. FOR NEW DRIVERS. DO NOT EVER GIVE OUT A COMBINATION OR CODE TO ANY DROP YARD. The cargo thefts are expanding. BE SAFE OUT THERE AND KNOW YOUR SURROUNDINGS.

That is great info. Also be aware of anyone who follows you into a drop yard. Just because the gate is open doesn't mean they are supposed to be there, I had to drop a high value load, because I needed to get to a volvo shop for repairs and I was the only trailer in the place. A bobtail followed me in before I could get the gate closed. I stayed hooked to the load for over 2 hours , by that time another central driver showed up, and the bobtail that followed me in took off

ill be so glad when i drop this Freddy load... I really think its cursed.
First, it wasnt loaded when i needed it, impossible to make the appt with my hours, Right when i leave the Pilot in Mountain House, ID it starts with the freezing rain. all the way to Rupert, ID. Snow showers on I 84 about 20 miles out of Rupert. Road was not visible. Then down the road more freezing rain and fog. Planner sent me a QC saying the receiver cant take me until 0800 so now i am at the receiver burning more hours on an 8 hr Line 2. Not sure if my sleeper berth provision will work when Im done here because I still need 2 more hrs of break time. Which will make my 99 at least 2 hours late. -
Lovely Lexington, NE. Got snow going on right now and am doing a rest. Loads rdy but screw it. Haven't heard back yet on whether they'll get me an earlier appt time or not. Can head out in the morning, loaf my way to Ohio, drive during the day, and still be early with this time. Think the weather is going to be crappy all the way anyway.
1st wally world I've ever been to that was built and designed for truckers. Bet they have parking for 50 trucks here. -
Loafing here in Ontario, OR so I don't start too soon and expire prior to unload. However long that may take.
I do feel soooo honored. At less than 3 mos experience Mario (I guess he moved over from recruiting) has invited me to talk about the Lease operator possibilities. Even proffered a free breakfast or lunch. Aren't I the luck one. lol

Don't even think about it!
We are starting to get Nasty grams from Central now and even a Collection notice for something...Since we don't have a statement from Central we have no idea what the $1041.00 is for.
Todays Nasty gram was telling JJ they were going to report him to a credit agency for $85,000
.

I have been reading this thread for a while now. First to all posters a big thanks for the running info. My wife and I are thinking of getting in the business as a team. Company training is the only option as of right now, and I am aware of some of the risks associated with it. Now then, at the risk of a thread highjack, I have some questions for you.
1. How are team miles of late?
2. To those of you who recieved company training: do you feel you were well trained and that it was worth the time and money?
3. As I said I have been doing a lot of reading in here and other sites dealing with the trucking industry and in spite of JessandJuju's last post, do you feel it is a good, fair company to work for?
Any answers would be appreciated and I thank you in advance for you time and consideration.
Stay safe out there.

dropped my freddy load # both stops today. They aren't bad people. They really hate the dc's because of the way the trl are loaded. We were talking and told them my ordeal and didn't seemed surprised that my load wasn't ready and was dispatched while I still had the other load.

1. Couldnt tell you personally so i wont even try.
2. They do have good training but you better catch on quick its pretty accelerated.
3. you could have made your comments without bagging on jess for telling the truth and telling it like it is, she is a highly respected member of this thread and its because of her, widow, 1bad, chrome, 6pak, bigrig, river runner and countless others who tell it like it is no sugar coating then maybe you should find a thread that will make you feel good about your decision and lie to you that all is well because you wont get it. here. Its a good enough company to get your foot in the door but i would not lease nor stay with them past a year. you will have to ask smadronia about the miles keep in mind those are company miles not lease. JJRanch.LADYANDTHETRAMP Thanks this. -
Thank goodness I was bored with sitting around and didn't really want a reset. 1 of our trucks broke down and I was sent to rescue the load. This 1 even has more miles on it than the last 1 did. Did 6.45 hrs today and can do 9 tomorrow before the big hrs start dropping.
