Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

Oh boy… I peeked in at one of the 2020 freightliners… had 17k miles… wonder what it cost new…

 

2020 would’ve been before prices went crazy. But even at $150k new they still took a big hit, that’s for sure. They should’ve sold them 8 months ago.

 

A year ago I pulled into this dealer and they had maybe three trucks out front... Now today, doubled up on both sides of the building. Of course the good stuff is hidden out back, probably 10 or so 389s.... Talk about inflation, $423 for a air bag and air dyer cartridge

 

Wonder if it had the instrument cluster changed 17K miles ago?

There's exactly 1 truck at our Freightliner, and it's probably the biggest in western U.S.

I think when you peel the bark off of some, if not all of your super deals, the buyer better have more than a few dollars to put into it.

"Oh you mean it needs $7K in rubber?" Just to start with.

 

Yup, I looked them over a bit better, 474+ chassis miles. Could have made a mint on the. 8 months ago as @Long FLD said

8 months ago they probably didn't have the replacements available.

None of those probably have APU either. So they've been idled to death.

I think somebody got the emissions altered and sold it to a dude that pulls cans out of Long Beach.
