The curves at the bottom of the east side used to be a lot tighter, but for some reason the speed limit has stayed long after the curves were fixed.

I always thought it was “amusing”. The last turn at the bottom is the tightest in my opinion, it may not be. They end the truck speed limit before you get to that turn.

Homestake is only like 6 or 7 miles up and the same going down. it might be 10 miles up and down but its not bad. Just take your time.

I would go the route that @Oxbow listed. There is road construction on I-90 over lookout and 4th of July - Jersey barriers narrowed lanes and such.

    I have been running I-84 to I-86 to I-15 loaded and running I-15,MT200, I -90, WA18, I-5 all
Summer. Parking in North Bend on I-90 is crazy difficult. Easier to park at Gee Care’s in Toledo on I-5 headed north from Vancouver to Tacoma/Fife (especially do not try to Park at the Love’s in Fife by the port of Tacoma- you will regret it)

What port. You get your clearance number over the phone.

    Oxbow Thanks this.
