Yea like 200 bucks from dorman. I have rolls of line and all tools. Monday blew a line in my f350. Just put it in shop and added to list. I've debated just dropping it off at shop 5 blocks away and picking it up when done. Idk. Yes I have flared a line and forgot the nut. I even once did it twice in a row on my own S series Blazer. I was so mad at myself. I was beyond mad. The second time forced me to calm down. Steel brake lines, Wheel seals, and exhaust are my least favorite jobs. I can't even imagine doing air brakes with copper in the 40-50's.Crusader66, singlescrewshaker, beastr123 and 12 others Thank this. -

ETA: the most perfect flare you ever do is when the fitting is sitting on something nearby.
Without saying too much, I had to drill and tap my manifold for a exhaust pressure line. OE line had regular double flares, and I couldn't figure out a way to make a reverse flare seat in my hole, so I bought some SS tubing and M12 bubble flares for the "new end". Ended up having to buy a flare kit too, because while my hydraulic kit worked, it only worked once and murdered the die lol. I tried re-annealing the tubing, but either I'm just not good at getting the temp just right or what, but SS tubing is just difficult to work with.
Worth every penny, and seems to hold up great after doing 6-10 SS double and bubble flares.

Unloaded and loaded for Tuesday. Got home in time to run the dogs. Something about Brutus, he loves fishing for rock.
Catches one, brings it out, rolls on it, then back in for another.

Parents' fury as Hooters sponsor under-10s boys' football team
Wish I was as lucky as those kids back in the day.tramm01, singlescrewshaker, PoleCrusher and 10 others Thank this. -
Thats fancy and I think I paid more for my manual otc set. But I learned a quality brand set, and your run of the mill jobber tool is worth its weight in gold. Plus some ratching line cutters.
Had trouble getting good double flares, then I switch tools. Turns out perfect every time.Crusader66, singlescrewshaker, beastr123 and 10 others Thank this. -
I’m involved in minor hockey here. We wouldn’t give a #### if the Sinaloa Cartel wanted to sponsor a team. All we’d see in that was another teams worth of kids getting to play. I’m not sure there’s any more that needs seeing.Crusader66, singlescrewshaker, beastr123 and 12 others Thank this.

When my doberman was a puppy he used to eat the rocks in the driveway Lol. Maybe because they were salty from always throwing salt down in the winter? He literally pooped out a pile of straight pebbles the one morning. Thank God he out grew thatpete781693, Crusader66, Big Road Skateboard and 12 others Thank this.
