Lawyer's letter head, or do it yourself. Or pay DACFix. Call them and see what they say without paying them. See if they think you have a case.

yes, and 5 pages of worth

I'd still be afraid of a paper cut

Wrong, they can still be sued, the same as Experian, TransUnion, etc., slander of credit is the law. Tell them to remove it or you will sue them for slander of credit.

The only good thing about this CSA 2010 thing is that it will eventually put DAC out of business.

When is that suppose to happen? And when will companies start to realize that maybe DAC is a bunch of garbage anyway.

Of course drivers are going to dispute and be angry over it. Its even a lose situation for companies that hire drivers. If they are going to have a DAC report for truck-drivers they mine as well just do it for all jobs in every field. I mean if youre going to make it tough for people to make a living, why just stop there right?

The genius that brewed up this fantastic idea and thought it was best for everyone must have had quite the ego.

Either way, Im going to fight to clean up my report. But I think the damage might already be done. It seems that I must have decided to join the industry at the wrong time and in a few short years the pain of it all just isnt even worth it.

Bad experience all the way around, Bad company that ruined my report.....and then went to a company that I absolutely loved and then went bankrupt.....to now not even being able to get hired by any company. Time to hang it up and go back to school. Its too bad also, because I was really excited about going into this field to build a solid career, and quickly realized that even something that can be as fun as truck driving is driven right into the ground by politics and BS!!.

It's all ready happening. They are implementing it now. Every driver will be ranked on a government website. So will every company. If you work for a sloppy company it will negatively affect your record.

Something doesent sound right about that either. So is this suppose to be a good thing or a bad thing?

What if youre a really good/safe/responsible driver, but just working for a bad company?

And what if only the bad companies are hiring, but you worked for a good company that just had financial troubles due to economy?

I swear, the more they try to make things better the more things get turned upside down.

So the upside is no DAC report, but you can just as easily be labled "negative" for working with crappy companies? I dont know, it sounds like they just gave the whole stupid idea a diffrent name, but worded it only diffrent. Because its these big crappy companies that go by DAC and do DAC in the first place.

That's the way it works. The more violations they find on Brandx Trucking's trucks, the more likely it will be that when a Brandx truck will be told to pull around back every time the Brandx truck goes through the scale house. When they find violations, not only does Brandx trucking company get points (you are rated on a point system) but so does the driver. So, if you are working for a sloppy company, you are ruining your permanent record and destroying your ability to get rehired someplace else. This system gets
implemented nation-wide in August. My company sent me to a 5 hour long seminar about this, this is what I took from it. They want to disqualify the worst ten percent of carriers, and the worst ten percent of drivers. If you are a good driver working for a bad carrier. You better run legal and pretrip your truck. If you find ANYTHING wrong with the equipment, DON'T pull it, because odds are it's going to get inspected once or twice before you get to your destination.

Good thing or bad thing? I don't know. But it's reality.

Noticed several things stupid about this.

First of all, its HUGE and has NO useful information. It came in a letter sized envelope, about an inch thick. So thick that the envelope was partially destroyed by the mail equipment. However, contents were totally undamaged and there was enough of the envelope left to ensure that nothing fell out and it hadnt been opened. Obviously the equipment that envelopes are run through is not intended to handle overstuffed envelopes. They should've used a big manilla envelope for that much crap.

my criminal reports are 5 pages of "no info available".

DAC has NO record that i ever worked for CRST or went to orientation for Covenant. However, it has a record that i worked for JB hunt, that review is required before rehire, and that i "quit/dismissed during orientation/training", and that i never failed a drug test (but it does fail to mention that i never TOOK A DRUG TEST LOL...sure is hard to fail one you never took...). I knew that was on there though, cause i get yelled at when i apply for jobs without telling it.

But why is it that these companies request a DAC before hiring, blackball yo with it when you piss them off, but dont report on it that you worked and didnt do nothing wrong?

In a way its good though. i dont have to admit to working for CRST. Hehehe. :) :)

Also, a lot of stuff has my social security number on it, but its all highlighted in black. Great.
